With years of cleaning experience, one of the jobs we often face is cleaning the homes of pet owners.

As a job that requires special care, it’s essential that the environment is a clean and healthy one for both you and your pet.

The AustClean Group recently contributed to an article for Advantage Petcare about the best ways to get pet hair out of your carpets and other cleaning tips for pet owners. We were happy to be involved, as keeping your home clean and hygienic is an important part of responsible pet ownership.

Cats and dogs shed their hair onto your carpets and while you may believe you’ve cleaned the bulk of these, there will be much more trapped in the fibres of your carpets. We recommend using a turbo (rotating head) vacuum, or an upright vacuum with a brush and vac motor. Either of these will be sufficient to remove most pet hairs from your carpets and furniture.

However, we believe it’s important when you have pets, that you have your carpets and upholstery professionally cleaned at least once a year – this makes sure all harmful bacteria are eliminated from your home.
